tahi kin — Celine Wallace

Celine is the founder of Sattva Soul, a modern Ayurvedic wellness brand rooted in the belief that feeling well doesn’t need to be complicated. Drawing on the wisdom of Ayurveda and traditional plant-based practices, her work is centred around making these rituals feel simple, beautiful, and relevant to modern life.

Her approach to wellbeing is grounded in the small, consistent practices that bring us back into the body — meditation, movement, time outdoors, nourishing food, and moments away from the constant pull of our phones. Rather than seeing regulation as a state of always being calm, Celine views it as the ability to notice when we’ve moved away from ourselves and having the tools to gently return. Through Sattva Soul and her own daily rituals, she explores how connection to nature, intentional pauses, and ancient practices can help us feel more grounded, present, and at ease.

What does a typical day look like for you right now?

My days are a mix of business, movement, wellness, and working with clients, while trying to create a little space in between all of it. I love starting my morning slowly with meditation and a gua sha face massage to get into my body, then getting outside by going to the gym or moving my body in some form, before having some quiet time before I get into work.

Many women move through their days in a constant state of doing. What does “coming home to yourself” actually feel like in the body?

For me, it feels like moving from my thoughts and thinking mind back into my body. Something that I’m constantly working on as a business owner and practitioner. It’s that feeling of my shoulders dropping, my breath softening, and not feeling like I need to be somewhere else or doing something else.

How can a simple daily ritual — even just three minutes — begin that return?

I think the ritual itself almost matters less than the intention behind it. Three minutes of sitting quietly, taking some slow breaths, putting your phone away, stepping outside or massaging your face can be enough to signal to your body that you’re allowed to pause and step into your parasympathetic nervous system state of rest and digest.

What would you remind someone who feels too busy or overwhelmed to prioritise themselves?

I’d remind them that looking after yourself isn’t something you have to earn once everything else is done. Often the smallest things make the biggest difference, and taking a few minutes for yourself can actually give you more capacity for everything and everyone else. You can’t pour from an empty cup!

Your work with Sattva Soul is centred around helping people feel more grounded and supported in their everyday lives. What does nervous system regulation look like in your own life? Are there rituals or practices — whether it’s morning light, movement, breath, time outdoors or moments of stillness — that help you return to yourself? And how do those practices influence the way you hold space for others?

For me, it’s really about the simple things I come back to consistently, like meditation, getting outside in the morning and touching my feet on the grass, moving my body, eating whole foods, and having periods of the day without my phone. I’ve also learned that regulation isn’t about being calm all the time, but it’s about noticing when I’ve moved away from myself and having practices that help me come back. I think the more grounded I am in myself, the more present and patient I can be with the people around me, and connected to my clients and my business.

At tahi, we’re deeply inspired by the natural world and the way connection to place can ground us. Do you bring elements of nature into your work at Sattva Soul? Whether through Ayurveda, plant-based rituals, breath, sound or simply time spent outdoors, what role do these sensory experiences play in helping us feel more connected, regulated and at ease?

Absolutely. Nature is at the heart of Ayurveda and, in many ways, at the heart of Sattva Soul, and so we’re working with plants that have been used for thousands of years to support the body and mind. I think there’s something really powerful about slowing down enough to actually experience nature through our senses, the smell of a plant, the warmth of the sun, being barefoot on the earth, because it brings our thoughts and body back into the present moment.

What is your go-to tahi skincare product, and why? Is it the scent, the glide, the way it invites slower hands? How does it sit within your own ritual?

My go-to is Oil Moisturizer, without a question! I love it and use it morning and night, because it makes my skincare feel less like another thing on my list and more like a little ritual, especially with the manuka oil scent I just adore, and the feeling of slowing down enough to actually massage it into my skin with my gua sha to decompress. I think that’s what I love most about Tahi: it creates a moment of pause, which is something I’m always trying to bring more of into my own life.
