Directions for use

Shake before every use to blend, and always test on a small patch of skin before using generously. Tahi is a great replacement for your cleanser, moisturiser and makeup remover, but please take care if applying close to your eyes. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.

For best results, use your oil within the first 4 months of purchase.

Apply with love to your face, body and hair.

How should I store my oil?

Store with the lid closed tight in a cool, dry place, out of direct sunlight. Keep sealed when not in use to keep in optimum condition. Once finished, please recycle your used tahi bottle.

I have oily skin, won’t using oil make it oilier?

No, it is more likely to make it better. Oil is actually really good for oily skin. Often, oily skin is producing excess oil to try and balance out loss of moisture and protect the skin. Tahi oils can naturally balance the skin and draw out dirt and bacteria without stripping it of the natural oils it needs.

Where do you source your ingredients?

All of our ingredients are 100% natural and some are certified organic. Jackie produces some of the infusions and we source locally for other ingredients where possible, the organic, cold- pressed sweet almond oil we are currently using comes from Spain. Each oil is handmade in small batches in Karamea, New Zealand.

How do I use my oil as a cleanser?

The best way to cleanse with our oils is the same way you would cleanse with any other kind of cleanser. Apply warm water to your face, then massage a small amount of oil into your beautiful face, apply another splash of warm water and dab dry with a towel. We like to apply a little bit more oil afterwards too.

I have heard one oil can replace lots of other products, what can I use mine for?

Yes, it is so versatile. One bottle of tahi oils can replace make up remover, cleanser, moisturiser, eye cream, hand cream, after sun cream, insect repellent, conditioner, hair oil, lubricant (Tūhono and Ngaruru), massage oil, tattoo oil and baby balm. Each oil also has unique native plants that contain specific properties that could help with things like acne, cold sores, irritated skin and sore muscles.

Can I send back my used tahi bottles?

Currently we do not take bottles back but are working on a way to do this. Stay tuned.

What oil would be best for acne prone skin?

We have had the best results with our Horoi oil and if your skin is not too sensitive we would suggest this blend. The ingredients in this oil, according to research, have anti-acne properties.

Can all of your oils be used on babies and children?

We would suggest only using the Ngaruru oil on babies and children. This oil was designed by Jackie to be suitable for babies when she was hapu (pregnant). It has the gentlest ingredients like koromiko, harakeke and kawakawa.

Are tahi oils good for hair?

Yes, all of our oils are very beneficial for hair health. Research has shown that the ingredients we use can potentially promote hair growth, help with dandruff and keep away nits and lice. Our oils tame fly aways, highlighting natural volume and keep the hair hydrated.
